I worked for about 4 years in a statistics lab; the director of that lab was such a good person. He gave me a job that I wasn’t qualified for, and he trained me to do the job. I learned so much from him. He was the best boss I ever had.

I thought about him often. I would see his name in the news occasionally. But I did not get in touch with him.

I should have.

He died of COVID in Fall 2020. I still cry every time I think of him.

I should have gotten in touch him so that I could tell him how grateful I was for all that he did for me, but now I can’t.
